WoodCutter Hamburg is the first and only axe throwing bar in the city, and at Baurstraße 2 its Duo Pack starts with a choice. The pack is built for exactly two people and gives you one hour on a private target, spent on axes or on knives. Knife throwing is offered at only two WoodCutter venues, and Hamburg is one of them.

Your coach opens with a safety briefing, then stays with you through the session, adjusting your throws as you go. Each of you gets a welcome drink and a surprise snack, a Polaroid keeps a souvenir of the evening, and five nails of Hammer Smash add a quick side game. The Duo Pack costs €33 per thrower.

There is a kitchen on site, so the night does not have to end at the target. Burgers and hearty snacks are served in the dining area, and a Beer Pong or Shuffleboard table can carry the rivalry into round two.

At Baurstraße 2, a session for two comes with more options than you might expect:

1. Axes or knives. Your hour of throwing can be axe throwing or knife throwing, with the same coaching and safety briefing for both.

2. A welcome drink and a surprise snack each. Both are included, so the first round is already taken care of.

3. A Polaroid and a Hammer Smash game. You get a Polaroid memory to keep, plus five nails of Hammer Smash on top of the throwing.

4. A private target among 14 lanes. Your duo throws alone on its own target, with a coach dedicated to the two of you.

5. A restaurant area under the same roof. Burgers and hearty snacks are served on site. The kitchen runs Tuesday to Friday from 15:00 to 21:30 and on Saturday from 13:00 to 22:30.

6. Two bar games found nowhere else. Beer Pong and Shuffleboard exist only at WoodCutter Hamburg. Each is booked per table at €29. Beer Pong lasts one hour with a pitcher of beer included, and a non alcoholic option is available.

The Duo Pack is limited to two players. If a third or fourth friend joins the plan, the Wood Experience (one hour of axe and knife throwing, from €21 per thrower) is the format to book.

The Duo Pack suits a first date, an anniversary or a night out with a close friend, and Hamburg's opening hours let you shape the evening around your own schedule.

After work, on a weekday. Doors open at 14:30 from Tuesday to Friday and the kitchen starts at 15:00, so a late afternoon session can flow straight into dinner.

A long Saturday. The venue opens at noon and stays open until 00:30, with the kitchen serving from 13:00 to 22:30. That is enough time for a lunchtime session, a Beer Pong match and a late drink.

Something to mark. A Polaroid and a surprise snack give an anniversary a small souvenir to take home.

A lazier option. Sunday afternoons start at 14:30 too, and Monday is the day off.
