Planning a birthday usually means booking one place for the activity and another for the meal. At Baurstraße 2, WoodCutter Hamburg, the first and only axe throwing bar in the city, puts everything under one roof: 14 lanes for the throwing, a restaurant area with burgers and hearty snacks for the feast, and a bar for the toasts.

The Birthday Pack is made for groups of 4 or more throwers. It gives you 1h45 of axe throwing with coaching and safety instructions from the Axe Masters, games and a tournament to find the best thrower of the party, a few trick shots to learn, different axes to try, and a lane decorated for your celebration. The pack also comes with surprises that vary from one WoodCutter to another.

Every group throws on its own target, and a larger party simply gets additional ones. Prices depend on the pack, the size of your group, the date and availability, so check the booking page or write to the Hamburg team for the exact rate for your party.

Hamburg adds two games you will not find at any other WoodCutter. Beer Pong and Shuffleboard are booked per table at €29 each, for the guests who would rather rest their throwing arm. A Shuffleboard table hosts up to 8 players, and guests should arrive 20 minutes early to check in and pick up their pucks. The Beer Pong booking lasts one hour with a pitcher of beer included, and a non alcoholic option is available.

Dinner is easy to fit in too. The kitchen serves from 15:00 to 21:30 Tuesday to Friday and from 13:00 to 22:30 on Saturday, so the birthday meal can come before your session, after it, or both.

Fewer than 4 people? The Wood Experience gives you one hour of axe and knife throwing from €21 per thrower. For a birthday for two, the Duo Pack is €33 per thrower and includes a welcome drink, a surprise snack, a Polaroid memory and five nails of Hammer Smash, along with an hour of axe or knife throwing.

One address for the whole party. Throwing, eating, drinking and playing all happen in the same room, so nobody has to plan a route between venues or wait for the group chat to sort out who is where.

A birthday almost any day of the week. Doors open at 14:30 from Tuesday to Friday. On Saturday the venue runs from noon until 00:30, and on Sunday it opens at 14:30. Mondays are the only day off.

Games for guests who would rather not throw. While the birthday group goes for bullseyes, others can play Beer Pong or Shuffleboard, order food and cheer from the side, so nobody spends the party watching from a bench.

The only axe throwing bar in Hamburg. There is no second address to compare it with, which makes your party a one of a kind in the city.
