Right in the middle of Hamburg's nightlife scene, at Baurstraße 2, WoodCutter is the first and only axe throwing bar in the city.

Fourteen lanes fill the room, so whether you are two friends or a full office, your group throws at a target reserved just for you. Your Axe Master starts by running through the rules, then shows you how to hold the axe, where to plant your feet and when to let go. Lightweight axes and tailored targets keep the learning curve gentle, and after a few warm up throws the session turns into games, scores and a lot of cheering.

The bar and the kitchen keep things moving between rounds: craft beer, cocktails, burgers and hearty snacks are served on site, and Beer Pong and Shuffleboard tables are ready for anyone who wants a break from the axes. A one hour session starts at €21. Doors open at 14:30 from Tuesday to Friday and on Sunday, Saturdays run from noon until 00:30, and Monday is the one day the axes rest.

Both games are exclusive to Hamburg. A shuffleboard table seats up to 8 players.

Saturdays that stretch past midnight
On Saturdays the doors stay open from 12:00 until 00:30.

Team building in Hamburg Take the team out of the meeting room and onto the lanes. Axe Masters guide everyone through the technique and into friendly competition. With 14 lanes and a kitchen on site, you can throw together and then sit down to burgers.

Bachelor and bachelorette parties The Celebration Pack puts the guest of honour in the spotlight. Cheer every throw, then move over to the Beer Pong table for a rematch.

Date night with the Duo Pack A session made for two: rivalry, a coach at your side, and a bar and restaurant right behind you.

Birthday parties Your group gets axes, coaching, drinks and games, then can head over to a shuffleboard table for up to 8 players.

A pre party or a night out with friends Start with axes, then enjoy Food, Beer Pong, Shuffleboard and a busy bar under one roof. On Saturdays, you can keep going until 00:30.
