Axtwerfen

Located at Plantinkaai 1, right across from the Sint-Anna pedestrian tunnel and just a short walk from Antwerp's historic center, WoodCutter Antwerp is the perfect spot to try your hand at axe throwing in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

With 9 private lanes, every group gets its own target, no sharing, no waiting, just you, your friends and your axes. Our Axe Masters teach you the basics in minutes, fine-tune your throw, and push you all the way to the bullseye. Whether you're a total beginner or already know your way around an axe, you'll pick it up fast.

After (or between) throws, head to the bar for a well-earned craft beer. Birthday, team building, bachelor/bachelorette party or just a night out with friends in central Antwerp, our packages fit any occasion, starting at €21 for a one-hour session. And every Wednesday, students throw for just €17, drink or snack included, student card in hand.

Book your slot and come find out why WoodCutter has become a go-to night out in Antwerp.

A private target, just for your group  Unlike many venues that mix several groups on one target (up to 6 people elsewhere), at WoodCutter Antwerp every booking gets its own lane, for up to 4 throwers. You stay together, distraction-free, so you can focus on the bullseye.

The only axe-throwing bar in the city center WoodCutter Antwerp isn't just a throwing venue: it's a real bar, with a solid lineup of beers and cocktails to enjoy between throws. A concept that stands apart from the neighborhood's usual bars, just steps from the Sint-Anna tunnel and the Scheldt.

No experience needed  Whether it's your first throw or your tenth visit, our Axe Masters walk you through safety and technique the moment you arrive. The learning curve is quick, within minutes, you'll already be hitting your mark.

The Battleship Session, unique to us  Fancy something different from classic axe throwing? Team up with a friend and face off on our "battleship"-style target: sink the other team's ship, axe by axe, for a session that's even more strategic and competitive.

A one-of-a-kind student rate on Wednesdays  Student card in your pocket? Enjoy an hour of axe throwing for €17, drink or snack included, just by showing up, no need to book online.

Safety and supervision, always  Protected lanes, a standard safety briefing, coaching throughout the session: at WoodCutter Antwerp, safety comes first, so the fun never comes with a nasty surprise.

Team building in Antwerp  Take your team out of the usual routine with an axe-throwing session. Communication, trust, team spirit, all wrapped up in a laid-back vibe, with a craft beer to top it off. A format that breaks away from the standard team-building activities around Antwerp's business district.

Bachelor/bachelorette party Before the festivities kick off, throw a few axes instead. An activity that gets everyone in the mood right away, mixing laughs, friendly rivalry and a couple of beers to loosen up before the rest of the night in Antwerp.

An original date night  Looking to skip the usual dinner-and-a-movie? An axe-throwing session for two, right across from the Sint-Anna tunnel, is a different way to challenge each other and share a laugh, perfect for a first date or a couple's night out with a twist.

Birthday  Get your crew together and celebrate differently: a private target, coaching included, and an atmosphere that stands out from your typical bar night. The kind of memory that breaks the mold, right in the heart of Antwerp.

A night out with friends  No special occasion needed: an axe-throwing session followed by a beer at the bar is a fun twist on the usual city-center bars, for a competitive, feel-good evening with friends.
